More on Anna Kavan

This time from Lee Rourke on the Guardian book blog. We see that they've chosen to use the self portrait as illustration. It never fails, when people ask for a picture of Kavan we always send a selection and they always go for the self portrait. 'spose paintings have a bit more colour . . .
This is an under used photo:

Good to see Lee's Kavan piece -- thanks for the link. (Good work Lee!)

I'll be reviewing some of Kavan's work on The Book Depository website in the next couple of weeks ...

Hi Mark, glad that you're going to take a look at Kavan. And, Lee, it was indeed good work, I've never seen Peter so happy with a opening paragraph.

Hello all,

It was a pleasure, really. Just finished Guilty and it's wonderful. So dark.

And that photo above is a bloody cracker. never seen that before.

The Guardian sub chose the portrait.

Hope to see you at the Anna kavan event at LRB.

Lee Rourke.

The photo of Kavan featured in a freaky article in the Daily Sketch, [1967, the year before she died] which looked at her 'unusual' apartment. You will love this - the heading was 'A Spot of High Class Mind Bending Needs an L-Shaped Room'.
Memo to self: Remove a wall.
